Lithgow Arms and Outdoor Sporting Agencies to boost sporting rifle export markets

Lithgow NSW, 31 Jan 2022 – Australia’s preeminent sporting rifle manufacturer, Lithgow Arms, has partnered with Fuller Global and Outdoor Sporting Agencies (OSA) to grow Lithgow Arms’ export markets, and strengthen Australia’s commercial firearms manufacturing capability.

Building on Lithgow Arms’ 6-year relationship with OSA, the wholesale distributor of Lithgow Arms sporting rifles in Australia, OSA will become the global distribution partner of the quintessentially Australian brand.

Lithgow Arms currently exports its CrossOver and Woomera firearms to 14 countries around the world. The new partnership with OSA anticipates growth in Lithgow Arms sales to export markets and Australia of 300% within the first 2 years, creating a possible 40-50 new jobs and supporting the current 140 jobs in regional New South Wales.

For over a century, Lithgow has been the home of small arms manufacturing, proudly supporting Australia’s soldiers on battlefields around the world. Lithgow Arms and Thales Australia recently announced a $6.5 million investment in the first phase of an industrial plan to transform the Lithgow Arms facility in regional New South Wales. Phase 1 of the new development will integrate both traditional precision manufacturing and digital technologies, including 3D printing, and the installation of automated electro-plating and other metal treatment capabilities.

The new development will also include a new purpose-built live firing test and evaluation capability to support research and technology development for the design, development and precision manufacture of next generation weapons systems for the Australian Defence Force, as well as the next generation of sporting shooters rifles for Australia and export markets.
